Aaahhhh! Spring! The birds are singing, the flowers are buding....and I finally get to wear flip-flops! How could you be in a bad mood when it's springtime!
(Granted living in Minnesota I know that it could snow like a foot tomorrow....but for today I LOVE IT!) | | |
| So I am not allowed to have nice things :(
It is all kind of ironic I think. I am taking my car in to get
looked at because it isn't always shifting gears when it should.
And in turn it is making the engine work too hard...only when I go
above 50. It comes and goes so I am hoping it is just a bad
connection. Anywho, I was leaving work to take it to the mechanic
today and I was backing out of my parking spot (Note: I usually back
in-today I didn't) and I heard a very loud noise coming from my front
bumper. Low and behold I ripped my front bumper off...well not
completely just on the sides. But it hangs down enough so that it
makes a scraping noise when I drive on the highway. The ironic part is
that the transmission was fine the whole way...now the only thing wrong
was the constent noise of my bumper dragging along the highway.
(sigh)
I should stick to walking :(
On another note I went to look at apartments for next year...well this
summer I guess. I am looking at all these converted factories in
downtown St. Paul. They have high ceilings, big windows, the
whole bit. Now we all just have to pray that I can afford it
:) There are a few that I like...I just have to figure out
prices. I think I may be able to pull it off...Wish me luck!

| So you should all know about my new baby...
yeah so it's not a puppy (yet) but it works for me right now :) It's nice that I can still visit the 'ol girl...visiting being the important word here.
In other news I was just asked by one of my old friends, ex-boyfriends (that sounds like a bad soap opera line) to take his wedding pictures. Granted I did take his, as well as another friends engagement pics when I was at Flash! And I am confident in my composition skills. But a wedding...that's a whole new territory. He said that it would be pretty laid back only about 60 people there, it's outdoors, and in Sept. So that would give me time to learn more about the technical stuff. I guess now I just have to sleep on it. I have been talking about wanting to continue to do photography because(pardon the gloating) I think I have a good eye for it. I guess this would be a good place to start. So now all I need is a camera...any suggestions??? I'm thinking digital:) | | |
